Pigeon Point Boat Landing - Critical Area Permit Application Public Hearing

The SCDES Bureau of Coastal Management (BCM) has scheduled a public hearing for a critical area permit application submitted by the City of Beaufort for modifications to a boat landing located on and adjacent to the Beaufort River and Pigeon Point Creek at 2440 Pigeon Point Dr, Beaufort, Beaufort County, South Carolina.
The public hearing will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 6:00 pm in Beaufort City Hall located at 1911 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902.
During the public hearing, SCDES BCM staff will provide a brief summary of the permit application and accept verbal comments for the record to be considered prior to making a final decision. The hearing will be designed so that SCDES BCM staff can gather comments as to the merits of the project and consider all information when making a decision based on the Coastal Tidelands and Wetlands Act, Department regulations, and policies.
