Don't Waste Food SC Summit

The Don’t Waste Food SC Summit brings together stakeholders from across South Carolina’s food system to collaborate on solutions that reduce food waste and strengthen our communities. The summit is an opportunity to:
• Share ideas; 
• Build partnerships; and 
• Find ways to work toward common goals through prevention, donation, composting, education and infrastructure development. 

Discussions will also include ongoing efforts to explore a Hub and Spoke organics infrastructure grant model to help strengthen organics recovery systems and expand collaboration across the state.

Don’t Waste Food SC is a collaborative outreach campaign that brings together ambassadors from the public and private sectors to share knowledge, coordinate resources, and work together to reduce wasted food in South Carolina. 

The 2026 Don't Waste Food SC Summit is hosted by SCDES’s Office of Solid Waste Reduction & Recycling.
